| I DID IT. I READ IT.
I'M SO ASHAMED...
............
......................
...................................
... i even liked it. *facepalm*
it wasn't fantastic, and i don't like bella and i have a feeling they're gonna be love sick puppies, but i want to continue to read it to see if bella gets turned or if it's gonna be this... "no, i love you too much" BS.
i'm so sad that edward isn't as much of an asshole as he turns out to be. haha.
BUT!
i think i didn't hate it because i was expecting it to be a HUGE FANTASTICAL pile of shit... and was surprised when i discovered that i hate christine feehan and sherrilyn kenyon more than twilight.
but the sparkles.
i just pretend that they don't exist. XD

| LMAO. Yes, the sparkles. Not cool. But I did enjoy the books when I read them. I haven't re-read them which I usually do when I love books. But, they're good. Don't be ashamed, despite what people say the writing isn't that bad. And the characters are fairly well developed. | |

| *clears throat* I beg to differ on the writing. For my writers group we took on chapter 1 to beta and test out our skills and share with the rest of the group.
I was horrified to find I couldn't leave a single sentence alone. I have never in my life take that much red ink to anything I've beta'ed.
Maybe if I turned my beta brain off I could read it, but after that I was sunk I couldn't get past how Jr. High the writing was and how non-existant the editing was.
We did go see the second movie. It was a fundraiser/donation thing for the revamping of our town theater and that's just what was playing. It was pretty terrible and supposedly it's a lot better than number 1. The sparkles just totally weirded me out and made me giggle incoherently. And the lines I know had to come directly from the book made me groan. Bella is a pain in the ass whiner.
Though I totally adored on the kid that played Jacob. He is really freaking hot and I can't believe he's 17. I was hoping he was much older. *snicker*
Anyway, obviously these are just opinions and I realize you guys like it, but that's my 2 cents on why you'll never get me to read any of those books. :-P

| Yeah but it didn't always used to be that way. Eons ago when she first started writing Anita she had a really great writers group that helped her tighten and edit stuff, so it was easy to get into the feel and world. And yes the editing in more recent books sucks ass, though I think she's been doing better on her storytelling again rather than making it all about the sex. But still, no I'm not entirely happy which is why i get them from the library these days. Mostly I continue to read because there are characters I will probably never be able to fall out of love with no matter how badly she trashes them. As for Twilight it starts off as complete crap in the editing and plotting and I couldn't get interested if you held a gun to my head. Even the setting was so drab and lifeless to me. I'm certain there will come a day when I have to read drivel because my boys are reading it, but until then I prefer not to torture myself too badly. | |

| I actually just read all the books. *ducks head* and the books finally (to me) got decent in tht 4th book. Bella finally stops being such a whiney thing and becomes an adult. (at least in my opinion). | |
